U.S. Ski and Snowboard is investing time into the thousands of elite junior freeski athletes working towards their podium dreams. In a new pathway to their Aerials Project Gold Camps, the coaches at US Ski will be reviewing online submissions from junior freeskiers on GMTM.com. The new tryout process allows Freeski athletes - ages 12 to 19 - from all over the nation to submit videos and other metrics directly to coaches.
Athletes who impress the team staff could earn an invite to the 2023 Aerials Project Gold Camp this summer. Aerials Project Gold Camps are progressive camps designed for elite-level talent development in freestyle aerial skiing. Top junior athletes are selected to attend the camp and train together with the U.S. Freeski Team coaches. Athletes with an interest in aerial skiing are encouraged to fill out an interest form through the GMTM app.
Typically, the invitations to Aerials Project Gold Camps are only extended to the top athletes in the Revolution Tour standings and the top finishers in USASA National Championships. The new virtual tryout on GMTM adds a new pathway, where more junior freeski athletes can be discovered after submitting competition videos.

To create a profile and submit videos to coaches, head to the Aerials Project Gold Interest Form. Once there, you can submit an introductory video that tells the Team USA coaches about yourself and what you want to accomplish in Freeski. Athletes can also answer questionnaires about their experience and athletic background.
In the next activity, athletes can add highlights from Freeski competitions or practice runs. You can include more videos in your GMTM profile along with captions and accomplishments on or off the snow. If you have more questions about how young Freeski athletes can get involved with US Ski and Snowboarding, visit their organization page - OR - reach out to us at support@gmtm.com.
